QSPM MATRIX

The QSPM Matrix consists of Ancora's internal strengths and weakness and external opportunities and threats established in the Internal Audit and the External Audit respectively. Each of this is assigned a weight according to its importance in the success of the company. Then, a variety of strategic alternatives are developed as methods of completing the company's two man strategies: market penetration and product development. This strategic alternatives are then given an Attractiveness Score (AS) from 1 (least effective) to 4 (most effective) acording to how effective the strategy is with dealing with weaknesses and threats, or taking advantage of strengths and opportunities. This attractiveness scores are then multiplied by their associated weights in order to find the Total Attractiveness Score (TAS), which are then summed in order to find the TAS for each alternative strategy. With this method, we could see that alternative strategy #5, undergoing continuous market research in order to provide the lastest sports apparel fashion to customers has the overall greatest impact in acheaving our goal of product development, while strategies #1 and #3 (increasing web marketing and offering online promotions, respectively) have the greatest impacts on completing our strategy of market penetration.
